As a choreographer, I pride myself in not just creating something visually beautiful or interesting, but in telling stories through dance with every movement. Nothing grieves me more than dance for dance sake. It has to have purpose and life, otherwise the art of dance is useless.
It's the same as humans. Without life and purpose, we lose meaning, we lose impact. That is why I strive to connect with my dancers on a personal level to help them achieve greatness. My job is to help them soar by providing opportunities for collaboration and engaging with them through the play of storytelling
